About Monte Rosa Sport (MRS)

A series of strategic acquisitions

In May 2020, Odlo was acquired by Monte Rosa Sport (MRS), which is owned by Monte Rosa Capital. MRS then acquired Janus in March 2022, followed by Henri-Lloyd shortly after in August 2022.  

Rich, heritage outdoor brands

Today, Odlo, Henri-Lloyd and Janus represent three fantastic brands under the MRS umbrella. They are all rich, heritage outdoor brands with strong relationships and reputations with their consumers.

  • Odlo produces the majority of sewn products for the group companies at its facility in Roman, Romania where we employ close to 500 people
  • Janus handles all the knitting for the group at its facility in Espeland outside Bergen in Norway, where it has been producing apparel since 1895
  • Additionally, Odlo has a 12,900 m2 modern logistics center in Brüggen, outside Düsseldorff in Germany, that serves all group companies


This structure of keeping the brands’ identity while sharing resources within its control, allows the group to achieve a balance of maintaining the distinctiveness of each brand while also reducing risk, and benefiting from scale and shared knowledge.
