Hugo Maurstad

Hugo began his career at McKinsey & Company, where he spent 13 years and was elected Senior Partner in 2001. In 2004, he joined Altor Equity Partners as a Partner and opened the firm’s office in Norway. Over the next 17 years, he was responsible for a number of investments, including Lindorff, Helly Hansen, Rossignol, and EWOS.
In 2020, he founded Monte Rosa Capital, where he serves as Chairman and Managing Partner. Monte Rosa Capital is an investment company that is dedicated to investing in (and developing) mid-sized companies, either by accelerating growth or transforming underperforming businesses into healthy ones.
Monte Rosa Capital's current portfolio of companies includes Odlo, Janus, Henri-Lloyd, SATS, Dignio, and D-Fetch.
